posted May 7, 2013, 2:31 PM by Robert Botha

I had to push this version out quickly as I managed to mess up some of the core functionality in my latest attempts to optimise and clean up the code :-/
All appears to be working now (touch wood). Please send me a mail/log report if there are any issues.

Version 1.1.5 now in the Play Store

posted May 6, 2013, 2:12 AM by Robert Botha

This version adds a new feature to check internet connectivity. For that I need new permissions.
I've fixed a potential bug on Nexus 4 and removed some options that caused too much noise.
Option to check for internet connectivity on the current AP. If none found, disconnect and disable for the configured duration and look for another.
New permission required for the above:
Removed option to force scan at start of job.
Moved the send logs option to the about dialogue.
Added wifi info button to the about dialogue. (Samsung devices only) Wifi power save module can be disabled here. Use if device forever sits in "connecting..." state.

Version 1.1.2 now in the Play Store

I've picked up a few issues with the new logic engine which caused a crash when a wifi config is deleted from the settings menu. Hopefully this version fully addresses the problem.

Version 1.1.0 now in the Play Store

posted Apr 15, 2013, 1:12 PM by Robert Botha

I've decided to bump up the minor version because with this release I've basically rewritten a huge chunk of the logic engine to be more battery friendly.
I've also changed some of the settings text to be more user friendly and less ambiguous.
Lastly, I've included a potential fix for the 802.1X/EAP configs getting lost when sync system priorities is switched on. Please send me feedback if you had this problem.

Version 1.0.24 now in the Play Store

posted Mar 20, 2013, 3:30 PM by Robert Botha   [ updated Mar 20, 2013, 3:46 PM ]

Added option to set the low signal level. While the current connected network's signal is stronger than this, the app won't start the re-connect process. Set this to 100 to force old behaviour.

Version 1.0.22 now in the Play Store

posted Mar 12, 2013, 12:08 PM by Robert Botha   [ updated Mar 12, 2013, 2:06 PM ]

This version fixes the data store resource and exception handling as well as a pre-Honeycomb crash that was introduced with the improve exception handling in version 1.0.19.
Also fixed an issue that would cause the service to prevent the device from going into deep sleep.
Fixed issue on certain devices where no network gets selected if WiFi was disabled before the scan started.
